Data Engineer

Working hours: 08h30 – 12h & 13h – 17h30, Mon – Fri – Vietnam timezone

I. Key responsibilities

Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data between CRM (e.g.,Salesforce) and accounting platforms (e.g., NetSuite), ensuring data consistency and accuracy
Build and maintain real-time or scheduled data synchronizations using APIs, webhooks, middleware, or configuration tools (e.g., Boomi) to reduce manual reconciliation and enhance system consistency
Monitor and troubleshoot data integration issues by setting up logging, monitoring, and alerting for integration jobs
Proactively identify and resolve sync failures, data mismatches, duplicate data, or latency issues ensuring timely resolution
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and ensure data accuracy and availability
Ensure data security and compliance with industry and company standards
Document all data integration processes and procedures
Work closely with others on the data team to ensure the quality and usability of integrated data
Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Stay current with emerging trends in data integration and evaluate new tools and technologies

II. Requirements

3-5 years of experience in data engineering or integration engineering
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Must have: Deep hands-on experience with CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and ERP (e.g. NetSuite, Workday) objects and systems and how data maps between them
Strong proficiency working with REST and SOAP APIs and managing authentication and batch processing
Ability to design and implement field mappings and transformation logic to align CRM and ERP schemas. Experience with handling nested structures, custom fields, and formula logic
Comfortable writing and optimizing SQL queries; understanding of relational database concepts and using databases for staging or auditing sync operations
Experience with data integration tools like Fivetran, Boomi, or similar
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their integration capabilities
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues
Knowledge of ETL/ELT methodologies and best practices
Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
